About Air Hockey

Air Hockey gives each player a mallet that can move around their own half of the table. A moving strike transfers more momentum than waiting for the puck to meet a stationary mallet. Defend the goal's center, use the side walls to create angles, and avoid chasing the puck so far forward that a rebound leaves your goal open.

Your goal: Score seven goals before your opponent while defending your own goal.

Devices and phone layout

Computers are supported. Phone orientation is a recommendation; rotation is never required.

Practice against AI or play together on one device. Drag on your separate mallet pad or your half of the table; local play gives both players a pad.

Air Hockey tips

  • Keep a route back to the goal instead of following every puck deep toward halfway.
  • Move into the puck when you want a more forceful shot.
  • Use a wall rebound to send the puck around a centrally placed defending mallet.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Charging forward and leaving the goal undefended after a quick rebound.
  • Trying to cross the halfway line when the mallet is restricted to its own side.

Questions about Air Hockey

Can the mallets cross the center line?

No. Each mallet stays in its own half. Mallet and puck speeds are capped to keep play manageable.

Does Air Hockey support two players?

Yes. Choose AI or Local two-player. The left player uses WASD and the right uses arrow keys. Touch players can move each mallet with its separate Blue or Orange pad, or drag on their half of the table. AI practice shows one pad; local play shows two.
