About Tile Connect

Tile Connect asks you to find both a matching symbol and a legal route between its two tiles. A pair that looks close may be blocked, while an outer pair can connect through the empty border. Each removed pair creates new corridors, so revisit the center after clearing the edges rather than treating the starting layout as fixed.

Your goal: Remove every matching pair using paths with no more than two turns.

Tap matching tiles. Use Larger board if the grid's small symbols are difficult to distinguish.

Tile Connect tips

  • Check outer pairs first, because the empty border can provide a route around the board.
  • After removing a pair, scan the new gap for paths that were previously blocked.
  • Use Hint when you are stuck to see an available pair before choosing a shuffle.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Matching identical symbols without checking whether occupied tiles block their connection.
  • Ignoring a route outside the board because the direct line between a pair is blocked.

Questions about Tile Connect

Can the connecting line go outside the board?

Yes. A path may use one empty border around the board, but it must still cross empty space and make at most two turns.

What happens if no pair can connect?

The remaining board shuffles automatically to provide a playable pair. You can also choose the Hint and Shuffle controls yourself.
