About Bop Beats

Bop Beats turns six cheerful cartoon characters into a small music studio. Choose original synthesized drum, bass, melody, and voice loops, then build an arrangement by assigning sounds to the band. Every loop shares a steady 108 BPM rhythm, so you can concentrate on which sounds belong together. Listen to a character alone, mute a busy layer, or swap a loop to find a different mood. This is a creative session with no losing state and no ranked score.

Your goal: Build a six-character loop arrangement, listen to your mix, and finish the session when you are happy with it. Your arrangement saves in this browser.

Computers are supported. Phone orientation is a recommendation; rotation is never required.

Tap a sound, then a character slot. Portrait stacks the studio; landscape gives the band more room. Desktop also supports dragging.

Bop Beats tips

  • Begin with a drum and bass loop before filling the remaining character slots.
  • Use Solo to hear one character clearly, then bring the rest of the band back.
  • Mute or remove a layer when the mix feels crowded; an empty slot can leave useful breathing room.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Expecting the same loop to play in two slots; assigning it elsewhere moves that sound.
  • Expecting a saved local arrangement to appear on another device or begin playing automatically when you return.

Questions about Bop Beats

How do I add sounds on my phone?

Tap a loop to select it, then tap a character slot to assign it. Desktop players can also drag a loop onto a slot. Each slot provides mute, solo, and remove controls.

Why is there no sound until I press Start?

Browsers require an interaction before audio can play. Press Start to begin your band, and check the mix volume if it is quiet. Stop, the site's pause control, and opening a site dialog pause playback.

Does Save Mix upload a song or synchronize it with my account?

Edits save the loop arrangement and mix settings in this browser, and Save Mix confirms the local save. It does not upload or export an audio recording, and clearing browser data removes the saved arrangement. Clear band removes all six sounds. Finish Mix completes the play session without a competitive ranking.
