About Whack-a-Mole

Whack-a-Mole is a short accuracy challenge with a combo to protect. Respond to a visible mole rather than tapping ahead at empty holes. A controlled rhythm helps you collect hits without breaking your streak, and the numbered keyboard layout offers an alternative to chasing each target with the pointer during the thirty-second round.

Your goal: Score as many accurate mole hits as possible during a 30-second round.

Tap the appearing moles. The three by three target grid is designed for quick touches.

Whack-a-Mole tips

  • Watch the whole grid so the next target does not catch you looking at the previous hole.
  • Use keys 1 through 9 if moving the pointer between holes slows your reactions.
  • Prioritize a certain hit over a rushed empty tap that breaks your combo.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Tapping a hole before a mole appears and losing the current streak.
  • Repeatedly hitting the same mole when it can only award points once.

How long is a round?

Each round lasts 30 seconds. Click or tap moles, or use keys 1 through 9 for the nine holes.

What breaks a combo?

An empty tap or a mole that escapes breaks the combo. Each successful hit gives 10 points plus a combo bonus of up to 10.
